Humility is total dependence on God; a total submission to God so that he can have His way and do His will. Our pride must go for the power of God to be released in us. Humility is seeing ourselves as God sees us. God wants His will to be done on earth as it is in heaven. This can only be accomplished with humility. It is my prayer to get myself out of God’s way so that He can have His. Below are some thoughts from The Word about being Humble:
IPet. 5:5-6 …be clothed with humility: for God resists the proud and gives grace to the humble. Humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time. The next verse goes on to say “Cast all your care upon Him for He cares for you.”

Lord, I want to be the humble one that you talk about in Isaiah 66:1-2:
“Thus says the Lord: Heaven is My throne, and the earth is My footstool. For all these things My hand has made, and so all these things have come into being by and for Me, says the Lord. BUT this is the man to whom I will look and have regard: he who is humble and of a broken or wounded spirit, and who trembles at My Word and reveres My commands.”
