Addressing Missions Concerns

As missionaries, are we meeting the greatest needs of those we are ministering to?
This is a constant concern and the effectiveness of any missionary that you are considering support should be at the forefront of your thoughts. As a missionary , I have seen effective missionaries and I have seen uneffective missionaries. There are those who go full speed ahead and there are thos who are just lazy. I am not saying that we are any better than any other person. Our goal is simply to become more effective in the activities, methods and services that we perform on the field.

Here’s how we are addressing the needs of the Mexican people:
CHURCH PLANTING
This is our #1 Priority. The goal of raising up new indigenous churches and filling them with disciples for Christ is God’s passion. In Jalisco we left behind 3 church plants and now with the birth of Unanimous Ministries here in Chiapas we continue with this goal in a more effective manner.
EQUIPPING SERVANT LEADERS• We are training up new leaders on a daily basis

ASSISTING THE POOR
Jesus said that whatever you have done for the least of these (the poor…, the sick…, the children) you have done for me. We are ministering to these needs by going to the poorest regions of Latin America.

CARING FOR THE SICK
Constant medical teams visits from other countries and parts of Mexico enable us to minister to disease, sickness, dental, and more medical issues.

EDUCATING THE NEXT GENERATION- CHILDREN’S MINISTRY
Jesus tells us that children are his heartbeat and that we should not despise them. On a weekly basis we are meeting poor children’s needs through meals and Biblical education.

Have a great day!

Greg

The following is an excerpt from the promotional description on Rick Warren’s website about the upcoming global P.E.A.C.E. Plan Seminar:
“Rick Warren has said repeatedly, ‘This is why God made me. Everything else I have done was simply preparation for the P.E.A.C.E. Plan.’ If you choose to lead your church to participate in the P.E.A.C.E. Plan it will be a wild ride and an amazing spiritual adventure for your members as they get God’s heart for the world, as God uses them to change lives, and together we bring global glory to God!” Read more.

Rick Warren and Purpose Driven Life Hope To Help Catholic Churches Grow
“[Rick Warren] and his Purpose Driven staff know that mainline Protestant, and especially Catholic, churches have been slow to warm to the message readily picked up by more evangelical congregations. San Juan Cosala Children’s Feeding Program

We started our first church in San Juan Cosala, Jalisco Mexico.

This project began with a weekly Ministry to the children. We were the first and ONLY Gospel Church in this hard to reach town.

The ministry has always thrived and the Pastors are doing an en excellent job. The church has already purchased a piece of property and will be moving to the new location soon. There is no building yet, so everyone will meet under a tarp until it is constructed.

On June 14th I took photos of our children’s ministry which began in 2001.

Activities today included:

  • Bible Study
  • Puppets
  • Songs
  • Learning a Bible Verse

Planting Churches

Planting Churches (to attack spiritual lostness) is our number one priority

PEACE PLAN

Our Work is to attack these 5 Spiritual Giants:

  1. Spiritual blindness

  2. Corrupt leadership

  3. Poverty

  4. Disease

  5. and Illiteracy

The world is at unrest and lacks PEACE. Rick Warren’s PEACE Plan has given us a method to attack these problems.

Planting Churches,

Equipping servant leaders,

Assisting the poor,

Caring for the sick and

Educating the next generation.

We even changed our name & webpage to better reflect this vision from Go- Missions to Missions with Purpose.

Our main emphasis is on planting more churches, making disciples for Christ and establishing Godly leadership to watch over them. We minister to the poor, the sick and to children as a means of accomplishing this goal.

Ministries

  • Spreading the good news individually and publicly through events utilizing resources such as films, music, drama, and formal speaking.
  • Raising up new Churches to enable individuals to grow in their relationships with Christ.
  • Ministry to the poor which include children’s ministry and feeding programs.
  • Ministry to the upper middle class through English classes, and by meeting emotional and spiritual needs.
  • Social Ministry within the City including family counseling (drug & alcohol rehabilitation), medical and dental clinics, and general helps projects.
  • Team Ministry with Nationals to more adequately minister to the Mexican population.
