Many children didn’t have shoes– we put shoes on their feet.

Some children weren’t expecting a gift for Christmas– we provided them a small toy.

And one child particularly touched our heart….

Claudia Sotomayor. She’s a 13 year who had a cancerous tumor in her leg.

Although Claudia was week and skinny from weeks of chemotherapy she was courageous.

Claudia’s family, who are from a small town miles away were financially drained.  They were forced to sleep on cardboard boxes at the entrance of the children’s hospital because only 1 family member was allowed inside at a time.

We prayed and we also took action…

We provided our apartment in Tuxtla Gutierrez  for Claudia’s family members. We gave donations to pay for food and we gave Claudia a laptop.

“The smile on Claudia’s face is worth more than the cost of any computer”

Update–

Claudia had to have her leg amputated.

However she and her family are reaching  out to other unfortunate children located in the hospital.

A few days ago, they invited a mother and her 3 year old boy who has also been diagnosed with cancer to stay in the apartment with them.

This isn’t the first time they’ve  reached out to others who are in the same circumstance as them.

That touches my heart…. They understand the pain and are ministering to others.

We want to thank you because you also understand children’s pain.  Your financial gifts and prayers enable us to continue reaching out to needy children here in Mexico.

We appreciate you,

The Nemer Family

Wow. What you did was awesome. Making a difference to another human being is really the best feeling in the world (it still is for me). I love what you did and hope everyone will do the same for everyone in the world. Thanks for sharing. I will do my best to make a difference to people in my country too.

Thanks Edward,
We can all make a difference- one person at a time. You’re right, it’s a great feeling. That’s why it’s better to give than recieve!

Thanks for visiting!

God Bless

Blessing from the needy people whom you help is invaluable. And the smile which draws on their face is just so heart soothing that I can’t describe. Even you must have felt the same way.

Our life of poverty is as necessary as the work itself. Only in heaven will we see how much we owe to the poor for helping us to love God better because of them.

The way that i see it is that humanity has limitless potential for better or for worse. If we could just bring people together that would bring the change that is needed. We all just need to unite and come together to truly better the world. One person can help but many can resolve this problem for good.

Ya I totally agree with that point of yours that its always more touchy to give someone happiness than to perceive it for ourselves. I know we can’t make everybody happy by fulfilling their needs but atleast we can try and help some people who are in our reach. And trust me the smile and happiness that you pursue in helping a needy is invaluable.

Hey may God bless you and your family and you get all the happiness life long. The people here have lot of money but they can’t take it out for needy whereas they can spend it for a picnic which is not a necessity. I too try to help needy by giving my time and whatever amount of money I can afford.

Wao that’s a great deed. We should always help people by whatever way we can. And its really great if you have a supportive family too.
